More about Scout
Scout (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist, artist, educator, and advocate with experience in human-animal-environment interactions, transformative justice, facilitation, trauma education, addiction, mental health policy, and training.
I’m passionate about developing skills with individuals of varying identities using intersectional, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, narrative, ecological, feminist, and strengths-based approaches, while harnessing the power of connection and interdependence through strong community building and resource mapping.
I believe in celebrating the magic of the LGBTQIA+ community, the social model of disability, harm reduction, mind-body healing, sex positivity, Health At Every Size, fat liberation, the human-animal bond, and collaborating with clients on finding creative ways to heal and express the stories that color their lives.
In my free time, you can find me walking my dog Fern, moving my body in meaningful and accessible ways, doodling in my sketchbook, or finding ways to engage in local food, art, music, and mutual aid efforts.
