More about Scout
Scout Shamblen (they/them) is a queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist, educator, and advocate with experience in human-animal-environment interactions, transformative justice, group facilitation, policy and advocacy, training, and research. Scout is passionate about developing skills with individuals of varying social identities using intersectional, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, narrative, and strengths-based approaches, while harnessing the power of connection and interdependence through strong community building and resource mapping. Scout believes in celebrating the magic of the LGBTQIA+ community, the social model of disability, harm reduction, the human-animal bond, somatic healing, sex positivity, Health At Every Size, and collaborating with clients on finding creative ways to heal and express the stories that color their lives.
